England bowler James Anderson has been critical of the team's failure to make the most of their catching opportunities during the opening day of the first Test against Sri Lanka.
Spin-bowler Monty Panesar put down two catching chances, while Anderson also spurned the chance to take a caught and bowled opportunity.
"Catches are crucial to taking 20 wickets in a Test match and a few of them maybe weren't the most difficult, so it's frustrating for us that they went down," Anderson told BBC Sport.
Hosting Sri Lanka will resume tomorrow on 289-8.
