England batsman Alex Hales 'assessed ahead of third Test due to stomach bug'

England batsman Alex Hales is reportedly being assessed ahead of the third Test against South Africa due to a stomach bug.

England batsman Alex Hales is a doubt for tomorrow's third Test against South Africa as he reportedly has a stomach bug.

Hales opened the batting alongside Alastair Cook in the last two Tests, but it is not clear whether the 27-year-old will be fit to feature in Johannesburg tomorrow.

According to Sky Sports News, Hales is being assessed by England's medical team.

England have a 1-0 lead and can win the series if they beat the Proteas in the third Test.
