India claim two wickets to see off Alastair Cook and captain Andrew Strauss in morning session at the Oval.

India have claimed two wickets in the morning session after an encouraging start against the home side at the Oval.

The Series winners began the day on 75 for none after play was cut short due to rain yesterday (Thursday).

Despite the visitors' dreary start on Thursday they managed to bowl out Alastair Cook after five minutes of play, ending the batsman's term at the crease with no runs on the second day.

Ian Bell replaced the prolific 26-year-old and managed to rack up a combined 97 runs with Andrew Strauss until the captain was caught out by MS Dhoni after a throw by Sreesanth.

Despite India's positive start, the world's number one Test side reached 126 runs with Kevin Pietersen on 18 and Ian Bell on 29, heading into lunch.
