Tim Bresnan has replaced Chris Tremlett in the England squad for the second Test against India.
Tremlett failed to shake off a hamstring injury despite England captain Andrew Strauss yesterday predicting that "he should be fine".
Yorkshire bowler Bresnan, 26, was selected ahead of Steven Finn, who was called up last night after taking five wickets for 33 runs in a CB40 match for Middlesex yesterday.
Tremlett took four wickets in the first Test to help England win by 196 runs.
India won the toss this morning at Trent Bridge and put England in to bat on a pitch that is renowned for producing swing for the bowlers.
