Michael Vaughan: 'I can't see any other outcome but 5-0'

Former England captain Michael Vaughan believes that Alastair Cook's side could face a 5-0 whitewash Ashes defeat to Australia if they keep playing poorly.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan believes the Three Lions could lose the current Ashes series to Australia 5-0.

Alastair Cook's side were bowled out for 172 runs as Mitchell Johnson tore through the batting lineup taking figures of 7-40, while the Baggy Greens closed the day 132-2 in their second innings, 530 runs ahead.

"England look as if they are petrified of the ball and that is a real worry," Vaughan told BBC Sport.

"I can't see any other result than 5-0 the way this England team are playing."

England were last whitewashed by the Australia in the 2006-07 Ashes series.
