The ICC has confirmed that HotSpot technology will be used in the final two Ashes Tests.
The whole DRS system has been criticised after a number of controversial wickets in the opening three matches.
Despite this, cricket's governing body has revealed that after "constructive talks" with both England and Australia, it will remain in place.
"[The ICC] acknowledges that DRS has not performed as effectively during the past three Tests as it has in other series," said ICC general manager Geoff Allardice.
"The purpose of my visit was to meet the teams and listen to their feedback, and identify potential improvements of DRS in the future.
"Some of the ideas that were suggested during the meetings could improve the system, and will be considered further by the ICC."
Allardice met with both sides as well as the umpires in Durham yesterday ahead of the fourth Test.
