The England and Wales Cricket Board have reportedly requested an apology from Australian broadcasters Channel Nine over recent 'cheat' claims.
The TV channel accused England batsman Kevin Pietersen of using silicon-based tape on his bat during the third Ashes Test at Old Trafford after DRS system HotSpot failed to detect a nick.
According to BBC Sport, the ECB have requested an apology following the claims that left Pietersen feeling 'infuriated'.
Australia captain Michael Clarke has insisted that he and his teammates are not guilty of trying to cheat.
