Former England captain Nasser Hussain has said that England "were bullied" in their 381-run loss to Australia in the first Ashes Test.
The hosts wrapped up the victory at The Gabba with a day to spare, bowling England out for 189 in the second innings, and Hussain has said that England are facing a tougher battle than in the summer when Alistair Cook's side retained the Ashes.
"It's very worrying," Hussain told Sky Sports News. "They were bullied. It wasn't as though Australia started well and they continued — England were bossing the game.
"On day one they were in control, all the memories of the summer were still there, they were playing well and since then it's just been an absolute shambles.
"A lot of it has to do with the opposition. Mitchell Johnson is unrecognisable from the bowler we have seen in previous Ashes battles, the confidence and the togetherness are unrecognisable from the team we saw in England, thanks to Darren Lehmann."
The second Test begins on December 5 in Adelaide.
