England players fined for slow over-rate in fifth Ashes Test

England captain Alastair Cook is fined 40% of his match fee, while the rest of the team are fined 20% due to a slow over-rate in the fifth Ashes Test.

England have been fined by the International Cricket Council for maintaining a slow over-rate during the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval.

Jeff Crowe of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees imposed the fine after England were deemed two overs short of their target during Australia's victory by an innings and 46 runs.

It has been confirmed that captain Alastair Cook has been fined 40% of his match fee, while his teammates have lost 20% of their match fee.

England lost the fifth Test, but they regained the Ashes by winning the fourth Test at Trent Bridge.
