Scott Borthwick, James Tredwell added to England squad

Scott Borthwick and James Tredwell come into the England squad following Graeme Swann's decision to retire from cricket.

England have called up Durham leg-spinner Scott Borthwick and Kent off-spinner James Tredwell for the remainder of The Ashes series Down Under.

Andy Flower has added the pair to his squad following Graeme Swann's decision to retire from cricket with immediate effect.

Borthwick, 23, has already appeared for England in 50 and 20-over format and has been tipped by Swann to succeed him in the Three Lions' setup.

Meanwhile, Tredwell played his one and only Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka in March 2010.

The fourth Test gets underway in Melbourne on Boxing Day with Australia holding an unassailable 3-0 series lead.
