Australia batsman David Warner has revealed that he will repeat the tributes that he made to Phil Hughes during the first day of the fourth Test against India on future visits to the SCG.
Upon reaching 63, the score on which Hughes, 25, was fatally injured by a bouncer in December last year, Warner took off his helmet and kissed the ground near the spot where his former teammate died.
"I'm always going to pay tribute to my mate," Warner told reporters. "Every time I play here I'll definitely be doing that."
Warner went on to make a 108-ball century - his 12th in Test cricket - as the Aussies reached 348-2 by close.
The 28-year-old raised his bat to the sky in another tribute to late batsman Hughes, who was honoured by Cricket Australia unveiling a memorial plaque on the team's first visit to Sydney since his passing.
