Australia captain Michael Clarke has picked up an ankle injury during training.
The 31-year-old sprained his ankle on Tuesday morning and is now in doubt for his side's final one-day international against Sri Lanka at Hobart's Blundstone Arena on Wednesday.
"Australian captain Michael Clarke is in doubt for tomorrow's Commonwealth Bank Series ODI against Sri Lanka in Hobart, after spraining his ankle during training," reads a statement on Cricket Australia's official website.
Clarke will undergo further medical examination on his ankle and a decision whether to play him or not will then be taken.
George Bailey is likely to take over the team's skipper for the match, while all-rounder Glenn Maxwell could replace Clarke in the lineup.
Australia are trailing the five-match ODI series 2-1.
