Michael Clarke: "I may never play again"

Australia captain Michael Clarke admits that he might not play cricket again after being forced out of the first Test against India early with a hamstring injury.

Michael Clarke has admitted that he may never play cricket again after limping out of Australia's first Test against India earlier today.

The captain pulled up with a hamstring problem in the field as the team headed towards a 48-run victory, having struggled with the injury throughout and in the build-up to the match in Adelaide.

"I had a scan and the results are not fantastic. I'm going to struggle to make any more part in the series," BBC Sport quotes the 33-year-old as saying.

"There's a chance I may never play again. I've got to be honest with myself."

Clarke had to retire injured for a time in the first innings, but returned to hit a century for the home side.
