Michael Vaughan questions Michael Clarke's role as Australia captain

Michael Vaughan questions whether Australia captain Michael Clarke is able to boost his players during The Ashes.

Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan believes that Australia captain Michael Clarke could struggle to keep up morale within the team during The Ashes.

The Aussies host England for the return series following their 3-0 defeat on British shores during the summer months.

"This is a big series for Clarke," Vaughan told BBC Radio 5 live. "We all know what he is like in the middle but what is he like in the dressing room and in the hotel?

"Can he get his players' mindsets right enough to win out in the middle. Clarke is brilliant at setting fields but not as effective as Alastair Cook at getting his team's together."

The first Test gets underway in Brisbane tomorrow.
