Darren Lehmann to consider Adam Voges's place in Australia side

Australia coach Darren Lehmann admits that he and the selectors will consider replacing Adam Voges in their lineup for the fourth Ashes Test at Trent Bridge.

Australia coach Darren Lehmann has conceded that he and the selectors will consider Adam Voges's place in the team ahead of the fourth Ashes Test.

The 35-year-old has struggled immensely in the series and averages just 14.60 in his five innings, despite a bright start to his Test career earlier this year against the West Indies.

However, his two failures at Edgbaston in his side's eight-wicket defeat have brought his place under scrutiny, leading to suggestions that he could be replaced by Shaun Marsh at Trent Bridge.

"We'll sit down, Rodney [Marsh] and I, and speak with the captain on his wishes. We'll make a decision from there about what we think the best XI is," Lehmann told reporters.

"Adam would be disappointed, like the other players are. It's a disappointing game for us and we've just got to cop the criticism we cop and get back on and work out what the best XI is to win the next Test match."

The fourth Test begins next week.
