Australia's Ryan Harris hoping to stay fit for duration of Ashes series

Ryan Harris is hopeful that he will stay fit for the entirety of the return Ashes series in Australia.

Australia bowler Ryan Harris is hopeful that he can stay fit for the return Ashes series on home turf following a hamstring problem.

The 33-year-old managed to compete in four Tests during the Aussies' unsuccessful Ashes campaign in England, but suffered a problem to his right hamstring during the fifth match.

"When I went to England, I was aiming to get through five and I got through four," BBC Sport quotes Harris as saying. "Hopefully this time I'd like to get through five but we'll see how we go."

Harris's injuries have resulted in an inconsistent period for his national side, featuring in 16 Tests since his debut in 2010.
