Team GB to take their biggest ever team of 12 boxers to the Olympic Games in Rio after Pat McCormack and Josh Kelly qualified for the competition.

Team GB will take their biggest ever team of 12 boxers to the Olympic Games in Rio after Pat McCormack and Josh Kelly qualified for the competition on Thursday afternoon.

Light welterweight McCormack overcame France's Hassan Amsile in Baku to book his spot at the Games, while Kelly beat Aaron Prince of Trinidad and Tobago in the welterweight quarter-final.

Galal Yafai will compete at light flyweight, while Muhammad Ali and Qais Ashfaq will compete at flyweight and bantamweight respectively in this summer's competition.

Moving through the weight classes, Welsh lightweight Joe Cordina has also qualified, in addition to Anthony Fowler at middleweight and Joshua Buatsi at light heavyweight.

Lawrence Okolie will compete at heavyweight, while super-heavyweight Joe Joyce completes the men's list.

Nicola Adams (flyweight) and Savannah Marshall (middleweight) are the two women that will represent Great Britain in the boxing event.
