David Price gets off the canvas to beat Ondrej Pala

British heavyweight David Price survives a first-round knockdown to beat Ondrej Pala in Denmark.

David Price has gotten off the canvas to record a third-round stoppage victory over Ondrej Pala in their heavyweight contest in Denmark.

The Liverpudlian is attempting to rebuild his career after back-to-back losses to American Tony Thompson, but he faced disaster in the opening three minutes after being floored by his Czech opponent, who Dereck Chisora defeated inside three rounds in December.

However, Price recovered to make the end of the round, and after regaining his composure in the second, he floored Pala with a straight right hand in the following stanza that saw the referee immediately call off the fight.

The 30-year-old extends his professional record to 17 wins in 19 fights.
