David Haye knocks Mark de Mori out inside first round

David Haye makes a triumphant return to the ring by knocking Mark de Mori out in one round.

David Haye has made a triumphant return to boxing by knocking Mark de Mori out inside the opening round at London's O2 Arena this evening.

Haye was completely dominant in his first professional bout since announcing his comeback from a three-and-a-half-year hiatus.

The former cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion immediately caught De Mori with some heavy shots and finished the Australian with just under one minute remaining in the opening round.

De Mori found himself backed into a corner, and Haye wasted little time in knocking his opponent out in brutal fashion to hand De Mori just the second defeat of his career.

De Mori was given oxygen after the knockout but eventually returned to his feet before Haye was officially declared the winner.
