Sheffield's Kid Galahad claims the vacant European super-bantamweight title in his hometown by recording a dominant points victory over Sergio Prado at Ponds Forge.

Sheffield's Kid Galahad claimed the vacant European super-bantamweight title in his hometown on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old recorded a dominant points victory over Sergio Prado at Ponds Forge - the venue where Prince Naseem Hamed won the European title 20 years ago.

Despite failing to land a knockout blow, Galahad was given a unanimous decision following 12 untroubled rounds.

The judges scored the fight 117-111, 118-110 and 120-108 in his favour.

His professional record is now 16 wins from 16 bouts.
