George Groves has set up a World Boxing Super Series semi-final bout against Chris Eubank Jr early next year by stopping Jamie Cox in four rounds.
The 29-year-old won his quarter-final showdown at Wembley Arena to retain the WBA super-middleweight title and remain on course for a high-profile meeting with Eubank Jr in January.
Cox had been unbeaten in 24 fights leading up to Saturday night's tussle in the English capital, but Groves delivered a big body shot in the fourth round to floor his opponent.
Groves, who also temporarily knocked Cox down in the third round, told ITV Sport: "I was in tremendous form going into the tournament, it's another good win.
"I was landing big body shots on Jamie, in the end it was a right hook to the body, it's a crippling shot - I don't blame him for not getting up."
Eubank Jr now awaits after beating Avni Yildirim in three rounds last weekend, with promoter Kalle Sauerland hopeful of attracting a big crowd at the start of 2018.
