Kid Galadad beats Fred Mundraby to win Commonwealth title

British super-bantamweight Kid Galahad wins the Commonwealth title after forcing Fred Mundraby to retire on his stool at the end of the fourth round.

British super-bantamweight Kid Galahad has stopped Fred Mundraby to win the Commonwealth title.

Galahad, who already holds the European title, has breezed through the opening 16 matches of his professional career and it was no different against his opponent in Sheffield on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old completely outclassed Mundraby from the first bell, and after four rounds of punishment, the Australian's corner pulled him out of the fight at the end of the fourth round.

Galahad has indicated that he wants to face WBA titlist Scott Quigg, but he may have to bide his time as the world champion contemplates unification clashes with either Kiko Martinez or Leo Santa Cruz.
