Dereck Chisora has been been heavily sanctioned by the BBBofC but his fight with Dillian Whyte will go ahead as planned on Saturday night.
During Wednesday's press conference, Chisora picked up a table and threw it at Whyte after comments made by his opponent, and it had been suggested that the incident would see the heavyweight showdown postponed by the British Boxing Board of Control.
However, while a three-hour meeting ended with permission being granted for the fight to take place at the Manchester Arena, the British title will not be on the line after Chisora was punished by the governing body.
The former world title challenger has been handed a fine of £25,000, while he has been given a two-year suspended ban, leaving Chisora with the prospect of losing his boxing licence should he step out of line before December 2018.
The clash - which will take place on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's IBF title contest with Eric Molina - will still act as an eliminator for Deontay Wilder's WBC belt.
