Eric Molina hopes to cause a shock by beating Anthony Joshua in title bout

Eric Molina says that fans should expect to be "very surprised" by the result of Saturday's fight as he prepares to take on IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Eric Molina has vowed to cause a shock and defeat IBF heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua in Saturday's title clash at the Manchester Arena.

The American will be the second fighter to contest for the belt after Joshua secured victory over Dominic Breazeale in June.

Molina heads into the bout with a record of 25 wins and three defeats, while Joshua is unbeaten after 17 professional fights.

In Thursday's press conference, Molina told reporters: "I've had to deal with a lot of tough things and face a lot of hard things that Anthony Joshua has no idea about. These are things that make me a stronger and more dangerous fighter.

"All of Britain and him will be surprised on Saturday night. Very surprised."

Joshua has never been taken past seven rounds.
