Promoter Frank Warren has insisted that he is not thinking about a rematch for Nathan Cleverly against Sergey Kovalev.
The Welshman lost his WBO light-heavyweight title in a disappointing stoppage defeat last night.
His promoter has revealed that the 26-year-old will take a holiday before deciding on his next step, but did not rule out the possibility of taking on the powerful Russian again.
"We'll see what happens in regards to any rematch," Warren told reporters. "There isn't a rematch clause, but I'm sure we could talk.
"It's early days. We'll let him have a break. It's all a bit raw at the moment so we'll have a chat in a few weeks and see where we go.
"At this stage I'm not even thinking about a rematch. The most important thing now is for him to go and have a holiday, and when he comes back we'll chat and see what is the way forward."
The defeat was Cleverly's first as a professional boxer.
