Report: Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury tests positive for cocaine

Boxing heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has tested positive for cocaine, a report claims.

Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has tested positive for cocaine, according to reports.

The 28-year-old pulled out of his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko last week for unspecified reasons, with his promoter only saying that he was "medically unfit".

It was the second time that Fury had cancelled the rematch, his uncle claiming that the boxer was suffering from a severe bout of depression.

According to ESPN, however, Fury tested positive for benzoylecgonine - a compound found in cocaine - on September 22, before pulling out of the proposed bout a day later.

The alleged result of the test, conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), could see Fury being stripped of his world title belts, which he was supposed to defend in a rematch with Klitschko on October 29 at the Manchester Arena.
