Tyson Fury has vowed to now fulfill his claims of being the best world heavyweight champion since Muhammad Ali after beating Wladimir Klitschko by unanimous decision in Germany on Saturday.
The Mancunian underdog dominated the Ukrainian for large spells and relieved him of his WBA Super, WBO and IBF titles with a convincing display in Klitschko's adopted home.
Fury drew comparisons between himself and the legendary Ali in the build-up to the long-awaited bout - which was postponed for a further five weeks last month - and the 27-year-old intends on adding further substance to his claims in the coming years.
"Tonight's the start of a new era and I said I'll be the most charismatic champion since Muhammad Ali and I'll be that," he told Sky Sports News.
"It was a tough ask coming here. He's avoided me for five years. People can say what they want about me. He landed some good shots on me and not one rocked me. He was hanging on for dear life in that fight."
Klitschko, who had won 18 successive title defences, had not been beaten since 2004.
