American welterweight Brandon Rios has revealed that he was impressed with Kell Brook's four-round destruction of Jo Jo Dan in Sheffield on Saturday night.
Brook had the mandatory challenger on the canvas on four occasions in a dominant win, and Rios, who is being considered for a showdown with the British fighter in the summer, has admitted that he would jump at the chance to challenge the IBF champion.
The 28-year-old told World Boxing News: "I'd never heard what type of fighter Jo Jo Dan was, but he was the mandatory for the IBF so he must have something good to be the mandatory. Brook did what he had to do to win that fight comfortably to show everybody that he is no joke and no toy to play around with.
"The first I heard about Brook was when he fought Shawn Porter and now I have also seen him against Jo Jo Dan. So what I have seen and what I have been told by others lately is that he is a great boxer and puncher.
"If we fought, I think it would be for a good fight for the UK fans and I hope we can do it."
Rios has suffered just two defeats in a 35-fight career, which both came in 2013 on points to Mike Alvarado and Manny Pacquiao.
