Grzegorz Proksa believes that he can knock WBA and IBO world champion Gennady Golovkin out when they meet in New York for the middleweight world titles in September.
The Surrey-based Pole reclaimed his European title from Kerry Hope on July 7 and has been rewarded with a shot at the unbeaten Kazakhstan fighter.
"I have no doubt in my mind that I have to ability to knock out Golovkin," said Proksa. "My opportunity to showcase my talents to the world has arrived and I'm not going to let it slip away.
"This will be a difficult fight but I believe in myself to come out victorious and I'm going to bring an aggressive game plan for the fans."
Proksa's promoter, Barry Hearn, is also confident of a win.
"He knows it will be a tough fight," Hearn said. "But I am convinced he can come out victorious. The fight features the two biggest punchers in the division and I don't think it will go the distance."
The 27-year-old suffered his only defeat against Hope last year before winning the rematch, while Golovkin has already defended his world titles several times.
