Manny Pacquiao hopes to set the record straight in his upcoming fight against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez.

Manny Pacquiao has revealed that he is fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time "to answer all the doubts".

The Filipino icon will face Marquez on December 8 and has promised to find the aggressiveness of his younger days.

Both fighters first met in 2004 and could not be separated by the judges in a draw, though the last two meetings have gone the way of Pacquiao.

The last fight in 2011 caused controversy, with many claiming that Marquez should have been awarded the decision and now, the eight-division world champion is hoping to set the record straight and beat the Mexican.

"I decided to fight Marquez as we need a fourth fight as he is always claiming he won the fight," Pacquiao told ESPN. "He is claiming that he won the fight and we need the fourth fight to answer all the doubts in his and his fans' mind.

"If it is possible, if there is a chance to finish the fight, then yes. I am not going to predict a knockout, but I will do my best and get back the aggressiveness I had when I was younger."

Pacquiao lost his last bout against Timothy Bradley by split decision.
