Miguel Cotto not considering retirement

Miguel Cotto insists that he is not thinking about retirement following his loss to Austin Trout in Madison Square Garden.

Miguel Cotto has insisted that he is not contemplating retirement after his defeat to Austin Trout.

The Puerto Rican suffered his second loss in succession after being beat by Floyd Mayweather Jr in May, but the 32-year-old has played down reports that he was thinking about ending his career.

"I'm not finished yet," said Cotto. "I still have boxing in my mind. I just want to rest with my family the rest of the year."

The unanimous points loss was Cotto's fourth defeat of his career.
