Floyd Mayweather Jnr takes his unbeaten record to 43-0 with a unanimous decision over Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather Jnr has added Miguel Cotto to his long list of scalps with a unanimous verdict over the Puerto Rican at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The 35-year-old looked comfortable during the 12-round contest, rarely letting his opponent throw at a still target. Any shots that Cotto did land seemed only to be glancing blows.

The unbeaten American used his speed and athleticism to seamlessly slip between defence and attack, producing an exhibition in slick boxing in typical counter-punching style.

Cotto came on strong towards the end of the fight but Mayweather managed to find another gear and when the decision was referred to the judges, Mayweather took the nod 117-111, 117-111, 118-110 to win the WBA Super World light-middleweight belt.
