Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that James DeGale will make the first defence of his IBF super-middleweight title in October.
On Saturday night, DeGale defeated Andre Dirrell on points to become world champion for the first time, and Hearn has insisted that the 2008 Olympic gold medallist will face any fighter in the division when he returns to the ring in London.
Hearn told Sky Sports News: "James will take on anyone in the division. If I went to him tomorrow, there's not one fighter that he would turn down.
"He will return to London in October and we will fill up a great arena. James will be the superstar that he all thought he would be."
DeGale is targeting an all-British showdown with George Groves next summer, providing that his fellow Londoner can defeat Badou Jack for the WBC title in the autumn.
