Michael Katsidis could be the opponent for Ricky Hatton's boxing comeback in November, according to several reports.
Hatton announced his return to the ring recently, but has yet to name an opponent.
There had been speculation over possible bouts with Kell Brook, Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi but Hatton said that he had to prove himself before facing any of those names.
It seems that Katsidis could now be his chosen opponent.
The big-punching Australian destroyed Kevin Mitchell in 2010, but was outclassed last November by Ricky Burns. He has gone on to lose another fight since then but the 32-year-old would still provide a stern test.
Hatton has yet to officially announce any opponent but will fight at the MEN Arena in Manchester on November 24.
