George Groves open to meeting Carl Froch for third time

George Groves admits that he is still open to the possibility of fighting Carl Froch for the third time.

George Groves has revealed that he is not giving up on the possibility of meeting Carl Froch in the ring for the third time.

Froch recorded his second win over Groves at Wembley Stadium in May following a controversial triumph for the WBA and IBF world super-middleweight champion last November, but Groves believes that the 37-year-old's comments after their fight suggests that another bout could be scheduled in the future.

"I gave him the praise he needed after our fight, and the following night he said he wanted me to crawl back into the hole I came out of," the 26-year-old told reporters.

"It should be the most satisfying thing but for some reason it's not. Maybe that will be the reason we box next year or even later this year.

"He probably knows he got lucky again. He was in a fight that I feel I was winning."

Groves faces Christopher Rebrasse in his next fight at Wembley Arena on September 20.
