James DeGale has claimed that he would have no problem defeating Carl Froch.
'Chunky' was victorious with a fourth-round knockout of Brandon Gonzalez on the undercard of Froch's clash with George Groves on Saturday evening.
Following the win, DeGale has called out his fellow Briton, and feels that he would have the edge over the Nottingham fighter.
He told Sky Sports News: "I'm not too sure if he's going to vacate, I think he will step up to the plate, and fight me.
"I'm going to outbox him. I've always said that I'm a nightmare for Carl Froch, my style is all wrong for him and I'd beat him easy.
"I want to get that world title and become the first Olympic gold medallist to become world champion."
Meanwhile, Froch claimed that he would have retired had he lost to Groves at Wembley.
