Nathan Cleverly says that he will act professionally ahead of his fight with American pro Tommy Karpency on Saturday.

WBO light-heavyweight world champion Nathan Cleverly has claimed that he will act as the model professional for his upcoming bout with American Tommy Karpency.

The 25-year-old Welshman has promised to "lead by example" following the brawl between British duo David Haye and Dereck Chisora at the weekend.

"People are going to be looking for people to lead by example," BBC Sport quotes Cleverly as saying.

"I have a chance to do that, conduct myself in a professional manner as always and leave my talking for inside the ring not outside."

Many have accused retired former WBA champion Haye and ex-heavyweight champion Chisora of damaging the reputation of boxing for British fighters.
