Carl Frampton: 'There's a lot at stake in bout against Scott Quigg'

Carl Frampton says that Saturday's IBF and WBA super-bantamweight unification fight against Scott Quigg has more at stake than just the belts.

Carl Frampton has claimed that there is more than just the IBF and WBA titles at stake in this Saturday's super-bantamweight bout against Scott Quigg in Manchester.

IBF champion Frampton has never been beaten in 21 professional fights, while WBA holder Quigg has two defeats to his name, but has competed in 12 more bouts than his opponent.

"There's a lot at stake," Frampton said in Thursday's press conference. "More than world titles - pride, bragging rights. It's about proving it on the night. Reputation is a big thing.

"It has everything, this fight. I believe I have the punching power to knock him out and the boxing brain to beat him comfortable on points."

The showdown will take place in the Manchester Arena.
