Kell Brook excited to top the bill against Frankie Gavin

IBF world welterweight champion Kell Brook explains his eagerness to top the bill at the O2 Arena against Frankie Gavin this weekend.

Kell Brook has talked up the size of the card that sees him meet Frankie Gavin for the IBF welterweight title on Saturday night.

Brook tops the bill at the O2 Arena in London on a card that sees Anthony Joshua collide with Kevin Johnson.

Kevin Mitchell and Lee Selby are also on the card, and speaking at an open training session in Sheffield city centre on Monday afternoon, Brook said that he was excited to be part of the night's action in the capital this weekend.

"I've been working very hard in the gym," Brook told Sky Sports News. "I took a week out and then I told Eddie [Hearn] that I wanted to fight again as soon as possible.

"Just looking at the poster [for the fight], I'm excited. There's two other world title fights [on the card] and Anthony Joshua is fighting too, so when I'm in that dressing room believe you me, I won't be missing a fight.

"This is the best card I've seen in a long time, so I'll be looking forward to watching it and defending my title against Gavin and I'm excited. He's a very dangerous opponent. He's wanted to fight me for a long time and he sees something he can exploit, so he can bring it on. He's up for this fight and he'll perform. The fans are in for a real treat."

Brook stopped Jo Jo Dan in his first defence back in March.
