New Zealand boxer Chad Milnes has hailed Joe Cordina after losing to the Welshman in the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday.
Milnes was defeated on points by Cordina in the last-eight stage, but was full of praise for his lightweight opponent when interviewed after the bout.
"I didn't work as hard as I should have, but he is a good boxer and he demonstrated that tonight," Milnes told Sports Mole immediately after the fight.
"I knew what he was going to do. I knew he classy and he showed that tonight.
"I have taken a lot from this experience. It has been amazing and maybe if I stay in the amateurs than I'll come to the next Games and hopefully medal then, but I am not sure what I want to do right now."
Cordina will meet Charlie Flynn in the semi-finals on Friday.
