Team England boxer Anthony Fowler has said that he 'boxed clever' in his victory over Scotland's Kieran Smith at the Commonwealth Games on Monday.
Fowler advanced into the quarter-finals of the middleweight division following a confident victory over Smith in Glasgow.
"I could have done another three rounds yet again. I was boxing clever, the last round there was not much going on because I was two rounds up and he had to come to me," he told Sports Mole.
"I was very impressed with him though, he gave it a good go and gave the crowd their money's worth tonight.
"I was up against it with the crowd and obviously the judges can be swayed, but I was landing big heavy shots and I've got a lot of respect for him taking them."
Fowler's next fight is on Wednesday.
