Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard has insisted that things are going in the right direction after the franchise claimed its second 50-win season on the bounce with victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
LaMarcus Aldridge impressed at home for the Blazers as they won out 99-90 at the Moda Center, with the team having already made qualification for the playoffs after an impressive campaign.
"It's going in the right direction," said Lillard, according to the NBA's official website.
"A lot of the elite teams are consistently going over 50, and I think it's great for us to have back-to-back seasons with that."
Aldridge had 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Chris Kaman also shone with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Portland.
