Scott O'Neil: 'More doctors to evaluate Joel Embiid's foot'

The Philadelphia 76ers are waiting on three more doctors to evaluate Joel Embiid's troublesome foot issue, according to the franchise's CEO Scott O'Neil.

Philadelphia 76ers CEO Scott O'Neil has said that the franchise is waiting for another three doctors to evaluate Joel Embiid's injured foot.

Embiid was picked as one of the hot prospects from last year's Draft, only to miss out on his entire rookie season after undergoing surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right foot.

Last weekend, the youngster's comeback plight was made a little more complicated, after the franchise announced that Embiid had suffered a setback in his recuperation.

"We're still waiting," O'Neil recently told radio show Breakfast on Broad.

"We have another three doctors to come see him. The nice thing about jobs like these – you can literally get the best experts in the world. All you have to do is call and they love to see us."

Embiid was selected by the 76ers as the third overall pick in 2014.
