Philadelphia 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams has set a return date of November 13 after undergoing shoulder surgery in May.
Carter-Williams won the Rookie of the Year award last season after averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game.
After a lengthy absence through injury, the 23-year-old is optimistic about returning against the Dallas Mavericks on November 13, according to ESPN.
Philadelphia drafted former Kansas center Joel Embiid earlier this year, but he could miss the entire season due to a foot injury.
The 76ers start the new season on the road against the Indiana Pacers on October 29.
