The Los Angeles Clippers won their seventh successive game against the New Orleans Pelicans to maintain their NBA playoff push.

Doc Rivers's side got the better of their hosts 123-110 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans and are now fourth in the Western Conference.

Blake Griffin and Chris Paul combined for 41 points to help the Clippers to their second win in as many days.

The Golden State Warriors also registered a victory on Monday, easing past the Detroit Pistons 104-96 away from home.

Point guard Stephen Curry was the star of the show again for the Warriors, leading the way with 19 points, nine assists and eight rebounds at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

It was Mark Jackson's side fourth consecutive win and keeps them sixth in the Western Conference.

The Boston Celtics lost for the 18th time in a row away from home as they endured a 110-98 defeat to the Utah Jazz at the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City.

Derrick Favors returned from a three-game absence due to a sprained right hip to score 20 points, while Alec Burks hit 21 points and bagged four assists.

Elsewhere in the NBA on Monday, the Philadelphia 76ers suffered a 130-110 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks at home and the Dallas Mavericks edged past the New York Knicks 110-108 at Madison Square Garden.
