New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony has revealed that a recent conversation with team president Phil Jackson helped provide some "clarity" on the triangle offense.
The Knicks have struggled so far this season and they have fallen to a 3-8 record as they continue to adjust to the new offensive system under coach Derek Fisher.
However, Anthony revealed that a discussion with Jackson helped him to understand his role in the system better and he believes it was effective.
"We had a great conversation, a very positive conversation," Anthony told reporters.
"It gave me some clarity whether it was in the system, whether it was things I should do out there for myself, whether it was things I should do out there for the players, for my teammates. I took it extremely well."
Anthony has made 57% of his shots since the chat with Jackson, while Fisher has revealed his belief that the 30-year-old is finding his shots more easily.
