Jason Smith out indefinitely with knee injury

New Orleans Pelicans center Jason Smith is out indefinitely with cartilage damage in his knee.

The New Orleans Pelicans have announced that Jason Smith is out indefinitely with a knee injury.

The center underwent a scan which revealed that he had cartilage damage in his right knee.

Smith is the latest in a string of injuries to hit the Pelicans, with Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday also out.

Smith has averaged 9.7 points per game this season.
