New Orleans Pelicans optmistic for Anthony Davis return

New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis is expected to return from a dislocated finger for this weekend's game against the Chicago Bulls.

The New Orleans Pelicans have said that they are hoping to have Anthony Davis available for their game against the Chicago Bulls at the weekend.

The power forward dislocated his finger during the team's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this week, forcing him to miss last night's meeting with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Coach Monty Williams told reporters: "We could have held him out [against Cleveland], but he was so adamant about playing that I let him go. So, now we have to be his brains and make sure he doesn't hurt his finger. But he should be ready for our next game."

Davis has averaged 20.4 points per game this season.
