Metta World Peace re-signs with Los Angeles Lakers

Free agent small forward Metta World Peace signs a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers have re-signed small forward Metta World Peace on a one-year contract.

The 35-year-old was part of the team that won the NBA championship in 2010 but the former NBA All-Star has not played in America since February last year.

The forward, who famously changed his name from Ron Artest back in 2011, spent time with the Sichuan Blue Whales in China and Pallacanestro Cantu in Italy last season.

World Peace has appeared for the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and the New York Knicks since being drafted into the league in 1999.
