Los Angeles Lakers consider Michael Beasley

The Los Angeles Lakers are considering the prospect of adding depth to their roster with the signing of Michael Beasley.

The Los Angeles Lakers are considering signing free agent forward Michael Beasley after he was invited for a workout in California on Wednesday.

The former Miami Heat star averaged 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game last season, but while he did demonstrate an improvement in his game, he was dropped to the bench for much of the second half of the season.

"[Beasley] looked very good and he has been working out. A tiny rust from layoff, but [he] did a good job," a source said, ESPN reports.

The 25-year-old is expected to give the Lakers some depth at the small forward position and will look to make the most of his latest opportunity in the league if a move materialises.
